Using Unifix Cubes to Represent and Compare 2-digit Numbers

In early elementary grades, students develop an understanding of place value by recognizing ten as a unit and using it to compose and
decompose numbers. In this video, we use Unifix cubes as groupable place value manipulatives, helping students build towers of ten
from individual cubes and use these towers to compose, compare, and reason about numbers within 100. We also explore how these
concrete representations can support students in constructing and making sense of number lines, connecting their understanding
of tens and ones to more abstract representations of numbers.
