Introducing Cuisenaire Rods (C-Rods)

a Spotlight post Cuisenaire Rods, also called C-Rods, are a math manipulative that provides a supportive linear structure. They can be used to teach a variety of topics including measurement, fractions, and number operations. In this video, we describe the structure and relationships among C-Rods, give examples of how C-rods can be introduced, and show how they can be used to measure and explore fractions.
