Are you a middle or high school math teacher that will be working with a student teacher in the spring of 2022? Would you like to learn how to better mentor and support your student teacher? If you answered "yes" to these questions, the KCM has the program for you — KyMTM or Kentucky Mathematics Teacher Mentors.
The KyMTM program will allow you to:
Through this program, you will interact with other teacher mentors, learn about educative mentoring, engage in mathematical tasks and reflect on your teaching practices. After selecting one particular teaching practice to focus on with your prospective teacher, you will explore the practice through a series of activities that include co-planning, data collection, and debriefing. Finally you will work with your prospective teacher to analyze student work.
Teacher participants who meet the following requirements will receive a $1000 stipend:

* The assignment due dates are different for middle school mentor teachers working with prospective teachers in the second half of the semester.
