1. Launching the lesson: Copy this:

On the board and have students guess the blanks on paper.

2. Developing the lesson:

  • Once everyone has a guess down, begin to read Bats on Parade.

3. Closure/Discussion/Elaboration:

  • Afterwards, discuss the pattern. Make sure students know the numbers to replace the blanks. Also, students should be able to explain the pattern in words.
