The Kentucky Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (KAMTE) is a newly established affiliate of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE). KAMTE grew out of the Kentucky Mathematics Educator Development (KMED) group. KAMTE aims to:
- provide a vehicle for addressing concerns, disseminating information and research, promoting effectiveness, and coordinating efforts in the preparation and continuing development of teachers of mathematics.
- promote excellence in the preparation and continuing development of teachers of mathematics.
- advocate for high quality mathematics education for all.
- establish collaborative working groups of mathematics teacher education professionals.
